Why music matters to all of us?
It starts long before we choose our own playlists. It’s
the danzón our grandparents played in the background,
the classics on the car radio on the way to school, the
first time MTV showed us a song that felt like ours,
like Los Fabulosos Cadillacs opening a door to a world
we hadn’t met yet.
Music is a collage of inherited sounds, cultural roots,
chance discoveries, heartbreak anthems, and songs we
replayed until they became part of our personality.
We are made of the music that raised us, the music we
chose later, and the music that found us at the exact
moment we needed it.
